Online elements of St. Philip’s College plans for an extra-large lineup of patriotic, civic-friendly and service-based activities for the college’s 2019 African-American Heritage Month season of service are in full service at the new web page http://ntfe.ngskmc-eis.net/spc/BHM, giving a preview of program scope and online information for all who want to plan early to learn with the college in February. Also online, many are keeping an eye on the White House Presidential Actions page for an anticipated proclamation on the observance today.

In recent days, the college’s 2019 African-American Heritage Month lineup has expanded to nine events (eight free and one paid) Feb. 1-26 at the college’s 1801 Martin Luther King Drive location.

All are welcome to attend the opening ceremony and reception for VIA’s Rosa Parks event Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. at the center with original Freedom Rider Barbara Bowie. Contact VIA for exhibit operating hours and find more information on the project online at the college web report.

With all event times, dates and appearances subject to changes that will be shared online, all are welcome to engage through the following 2019 observance events, and visit the observance web page for updates:
