SUMMER ARTS HIGHLIGHT: ST. PHILIP’S COLLEGE HOSTS A SOLD-OUT “A WAY WITH WORDS” LIVE YOUTH LITERACY BENEFIT PERFORMANCE

The highlight of the summer 2018 season in leased spaces at St. 菲利普的大学 occurred when the 120-year-old college hosted its first national radio program, " A public radio program about language examined through history, culture, and family 6月21日.

The national program on campus last week for its debut with a sold-out youth literacy benefit at the 600-seat Watson Fine Arts Center at 1801 Martin Luther King Drive in the city's Denver Heights neighborhood was 文字之路---the growing national call-in public radio show about words and how the world uses them. The live-program-with-reception-for-ticketed-guests allowed San Antonians to explore language during a complete episode recorded with the co-host/co-producer team of Martha Barnette and Grant Barrett. The program included Q&A along with host insights on language, and the event was co-hosted by 圣安东尼奥 Youth Literacy and Texas Public Radio.
